New Wave of HIP Hop Albums From Nova featuring Styles Like Dot Com

We're proud to introduce reaching Nova aka Kim Dotcom and his new albumreaching nova on the streets of New York. We met Kim Dotcom several years back when he opened for Kanye West in New York, and while that was an awesome performance, it was not our intention to interview him, or feature him in this Hip Hop Review. The Hip Hop world is so saturated with cats and dogs, it's hard to find something original anymore. But like the legendary lyrical genius Nasir "P.Diddy" Johnson we feel compelled to include this new project amongst the classics, simply because we love a great match up of two fantastic MC's in the hip hop game.

With the production provided by Dot Da Genius the sound is reminiscent of late 90s boom and just a touch refined. Dot Da Genius has worked with the major record labels before, so you know this new album will be a well crafted, extremely intelligent hip hop tune. And of course since this is Kim Dotcom we can expect nothing but the best.

While this isn't an album with the bombast and notoriety of albums like Eminem and Kanye West Dotcom gets his lyrical content to flow perfectly and not lose the quality of his delivery. His flow is smooth and is very well laced with superb beats. The only bad thing about this new album is the guest spots, and that is only if you really like some of the lesser known artists that are featured on this record. Some songs might be a little too obvious to take seriously, but there is enough content on this new album to keep you entertained.

On this new album Dot Com's lyrical skills are once again at the forefront. The flow is once again flowing right along with the music and artists such as Kanye West and Nasir are once again joined by the great Pusha T. The one track that may be a little too much is "Come On You nigga." It seems as if Nasir may want to voice some opinions on the racial issues that exist in the United States but he doesn't really say anything that is controversial or hurtsful. Hopefully we will see better lyrics on other songs from This New Body.

Kim Dotcom is a hip hop artist that has made a name for himself in the industry. He has a style that is unique and his lyrics are always enlightening and thought provoking. I personally don't think he is as good as Eminem, but then neither is Jay Z or Biggie. He is definitely on the same level as these other legends of hip hop music. Hopefully we will continue to watch this young artist grow and develop. He has definitely gained a lot of fans and has a few albums that have been flying off the shelves. This newest album, Dot Com, is a great album in its own right. I am looking forward to what he comes out with next. He has definitely made an impact on the hiphop world.
